The Parish Nurse Program promotes wellness of body, mind, and spirit through parish visitations and preventative health programs. Health promotion activities include blood pressure screening, glucose screening, bone density screening, and flu immunizing. During 2004 the Parish Nurses made a total of 1,179 contacts. This includes: Home Visits, Hospital Visits, Nursing Home Visits, Office Visits and screenings, and Phone Contacts.

Women of the ELCA (WELCA)
St. Mark's WELCA consists of six circle groups. Each circle sponsors community and social projects as well as fellowship activities. All women are welcome to attend any of the following groups:
Group Meetings
Gloria Dei-Friendship Mission Circle 1st Thursday of each month at 1:30pm
Morning Star 1st Thursday of each month at 1:30pm
Lydia 3rd or 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00pm
Powell Memorial Meets 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m
Hannah Circle Meets 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m.



Men's Bible Study and Prayer Breakfast
The Men's Bible Study meets the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 a.m. in Kammeyer Hall for breakfast and conversation. Bible Study immediately follows the breakfast from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. The group consists of St. Mark's members and guests. All are welcome!

The men's group is also involved with various seasonal events throughout the year.



Child Care, Day Care, and Pre-School - (309) 444-4686
Our Child Care, Day Care and Pre-School is located on the upper level of St. Mark’s and is open to all area youngsters ages 2-6 years during the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The purpose of the Center is to provide a child-centered Christian atmosphere to encourage growth of the whole child physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
